Man arrested for firing gun after motorcycle damaged
December 18th, 2008
A 26-year-old Salem man was arrested and charged with malicious wounding and shooting a gun in the city limits Monday night after he and three others reportedly got into a fight over who damaged his motorcycle.
Police arrested Timothy Mark Duncan on Dec. 15. Salem Police said Duncan discharged a gun into the ground, and beat up one of the men after they disagreed about the hit-and-run damage to his cycle.
Salem Police answered a call at River Walk Apartments – formerly known as Willow River and more recently, Salem Ridge – at 8:38 p.m. Monday. One of the three was treated for lacerations from the fight, police said.
When the three were trying to leave the parking lot, another parked vehicle was hit, police said, and that matter is under investigation.
